Massive Hay Fire Burning At Stanislaus County Dairy Farm
TURLOCK (CBS13) – A large pile of hay bales is on fire in Stanislaus County sending huge clouds of smoke into the air.
The fire is burning on a dairy farm near South Commons Road near Harding in Turlock.
The hay bales are burning under a covered shed that is about a the length of a football field.
Fire fighters from at least four different agencies are on scene battling the blaze including crews from neighboring Merced County. Several water tankers are scene.
As fire fighters concentrate of the blaze, dairy workers are trying to wrangle the thousands of cows on the dairy away from the smoke.
