Martha Stewart Gives Jessica Alba Some Advice On Her Company's Lawsuits: 'Try To Fix It'
(CBS Sacramento)-- Martha Stewart is offering up some advice to new mogul Jessica Alba concerning lawsuits against The Honest Company.
Martha told Entertainment Tonight, "I don't know how much she actually designed the product... I design my products with my teams. I know what they are made out of, and you have to be very careful with everything. She has another career and you can't just slap your name on stuff."
Alba's Honest Company has been hit with two class action lawsuits. Consumer Jonathan D. Rubin filed a lawsuit against the company saying the product was being sold as "natural" but really most of them included "unnatural" and "synthetic" ingredients.
This lawsuit comes after some consumers claimed that there kids were affected by the sunscreen. Alba created The Honest Company to develop safe and effective products for children.
Thus far she is proud of how consumers are enjoying her products.
As far as the lawsuits are concerned Alba said, "The allegations against us are baseless and without merit. We strongly stand behind our products and the responsibility we have to our consumers. We are steadfast in our commitment to transparency and openness. I know my children, Honor and Haven, are growing up in a safer home because of our products."
Stewart's advice to Alba: "Try to fix it," she candidly told Entertainment Tonight.
