Manteca Police Searching For Wig-Wearing Bank Robbers

MANTECA (CBS13) – Manteca Police are looking for two wig-wearing armed thieves who held up a bank Monday morning.

The bank robbers, two black men wearing long black wigs and sunglasses, entered the Compass Bank on North Main Street in Manteca around 10 this morning, flashed a gun and demanded cash.

Police say six employees and one customer were inside when the robbery took place.

The suspects got away with a bag of cash, but police believe a red dye pack hidden inside the back exploded and the cash will likely be covered in red dye.

No one was injured in the bank robbery.

Detectives expect to release surveillance video of the suspects later today.
