Manteca Family Searching For Yorkie Taken From Yard On Christmas Eve
MANTECA (CBS13) — A Manteca family is desperately searching for their dog they fear was snatched from their lawn by somebody walking by just before Christmas.
Zoey, a 2-pound Yorkie, vanished on Christmas Eve, leaving the Galans missing a member of their family.
A neighbor told Angie Galan he saw a man holding Zoey.
"He questioned him," Angie said. "The gentleman said he knew where the dog belonged, and was going to bring her back.
But Zoey wouldn't make it back before she turned 8 months old on Friday.
The family suspects someone sold Zoey for far less than the $2,500 that she's worth, and believe the puppy ended up under someone else's Christmas tree.
"Somebody somewhere knows something, or somebody who got a puppy this Christmas that looks like Zoey," she said.
A family friend is offering a $500 reward, while the family just wants Zoey back—no questions asked.
