Citrus Heights Manhunt Ends In Three Arrests
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A parolee who led authorities in Citrus Heights on a chase Monday morning has been arrested along with two other suspects.
The parolee, who had an outstanding warrant with the California Department of Corrections, led deputies on a car chase that ended when he crashed his vehicle into a tree at a mobile home park. He then ran to a nearby apartment complex located at 7576 Auburn Blvd.
Deputies surrounded the complex and eventually found the suspect with five others who were believed to be linked to the suspect, according to Jason Ramos, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman.
Deputies took the suspect into custody on charges of violating parole. They also took two of the others into custody after deputies discovered they were also parolees with outstanding warrants. The remaining three were detained for questioning.
Nearby, Citrus Heights Elementary and Sylvan Middle Schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution.
