Man Who Reportedly Fired 44 Rounds Into House Arrested
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A man who allegedly fired 44 rounds into a home in West Sacramento last month was arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service, the agency announced.
Deshaun Christopher Buford was arrested in Sacramento. Buford was wanted for attempted homicide for an incident that occurred on Aug. 25 at approximately 9:30 p.m., when he allegedly fired a fully automatic 9mm submachine gun into a residence on Proctor Avenue in West Sacramento.
A young mother and her 2-year-old were inside and just missed getting hit by several bullets. Buford had previously been evicted by the homeowner and reportedly retaliated by firing approximately 44 rounds into the residence.
A warrant for attempted homicide was issued by West Sacramento Police Department on Aug. 26. Information developed Tuesday that Buford was staying at the University Village Apartments in Sacramento.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force along with West Sacramento officers spotted Buford leaving an apartment and arrested him without incident. Buford was taken back to West Sacramento for questioning.
