Man Stabbed Outside Citrus Heights Home
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A man is in serious condition after being stabbed several times by an alleged robbery suspect, according to authorities.
Citrus Heights police say the stabbing happened outside a home on Denton Way around 7:15 Thursday morning.
The victim tells police the suspect attempted to rob him. When he fought back, the suspect stabbed him several times. Police say the victim ran after the suspect but his injuries stopped him.
The victim was taken to the hospital with what are being described as "major" stab wounds and is currently in surgery.
Police are searching for a suspect.
No other information was immediately released.
