Man Shot Outside SF Nightclub Identified As Modesto Resident
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Authorities have identified a 36-year-old man who was fatally shot outside a nightclub in San Francisco.
The San Francisco medical examiner's office on Sunday identified the victim as David Gilford III of Modesto.
San Francisco police Sgt. Danielle Newman says Gilford was in a crowd of people coming out of a nightclub in the city's Japantown neighborhood at about 1:45 a.m. when the shooting occurred.
Newman says Gilford was shot as he stood on the sidewalk. First responders performed CPR but Gilford was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Newman says investigators were canvassing the area on Sunday searching for any clues and witnesses.
No arrests have been made.
