Man Shot Outside Of McDonald's Restaurant In Citrus Heights

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) -- One man was shot in the shoulder outside of a McDonald's restaurant in Citrus Heights following an argument during a drug deal that apparently got out of hand.

Shortly after 6 p.m., two people were doing a drug deal inside the restroom at a McDonald's at 7632 Sunrise Boulevard. A fight ensued and moved out into the parking lot. That's where the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the shoulder.

The victim is presumed to be associated with one of the men.

The suspect drove off in a Chevy Lumina or a Buick. He is described as a male in his early 20s, 5'5" tall, 140 pounds, wearing and oversize t-shirt and dark shorts.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
