Man Shot In Face By Police Sues City Of Elk Grove
ELK GROVE (CBS13) - A man who was shot in the face by police while handcuffed by police is now suing the city of Elk Grove.
John Hesselbein was arrested back in January after a fight with his wife.
While handcuffed in the back of a patrol car, Hesselbein started yelling that he had a gun and made a move as if to retrieve it. That's when an officer fired his rifle and hit Hesselbein in the face.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified amounts for pain and suffering.
