Man Shot At Arden-Area Applebee's Parking Lot
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating a shooting that happened in a busy Arden-Arcade area parking lot late Saturday afternoon.
According to Sacramento County Sheriff's spokesperson Lisa Bowman, the incident happened a little after 5 p.m. at the Applebee's parking lot along the 2000 block of Arden Way. A man apparently got into some kind of argument with another man inside a car.
The fight escalated and the man inside the car was shot, causing him to crash into a parked car. The other man was able to get away.
Bowman says the victim, only identified as a man in his 30s, is expected to be OK.
People in the area at the time were startled that such a violent incident happened in broad daylight in a busy area.
"There's no longer a bad part of town or good part of town. Violence is everywhere," said Kimara Moore, who was standing behind crime tape as she watched deputies take photos and brushing for fingerprints.
The victim's car crashed into a blue car, which then hit Moore's SUV.
"Perpetrators are getting more and more brazen; people just don't care," Moore said.
Deputies don't have a description of the suspect or his car.
