Man Sentenced To Prison For Stalking Two Placer County Women From Behind Bars
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – A man who stalked two Placer County women while he was behind bars has been sentenced to prison for his crimes.
The Placer County District Attorney's office says 27-year-old Christopher Allen Braun has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.
Braun, whom the Placer County prosecutor calls a "con artist" was in jail on theft charges when he stalked two women; his ex-girlfriend and her aunt.
Prosecutors say Braun gave the address and gate-code of the aunt's Granite Bay home to fellow inmates and other friends. He told them it was his home and they could stay there anytime they wanted.
The girlfriend has since moved from her aunt's Granite Bay home and the aunt is attempting sell it after being frightened by the unwanted visits from Braun's friends.
The identity theft charge stems from Braun conning a fellow inmate into giving him his personal information.
