Driver Leads Police On Chase In Stolen Truck
ELK GROVE (CBS13) - An early morning police chase ended with a stolen car in flames and the suspect on the loose.
At around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, an Elk Grove police officer noticed a suspicious pickup truck parked outside of a closed business on Orchard Loop Lane with its tail lights out.
When the officer approached the vehicle, the suspect sped off. Police soon found out the truck was stolen.
As the truck sped north on Stockton Boulevard, one of the tires burst. The driver continued on for 10 more blocks until the truck caught fire.
The driver was able to get away from police.
