Deputies: Man Killed By Girlfriend

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (CBS13) -- A Rancho Cordova woman has been arrested on murder charges after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death Wednesday evening.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said the 32-year-old victim was stabbed to death by his 40-year-old girlfriend, Kathryn Spiak, at their apartment on the 2000 block of West La Loma Drive just before 9:00 p.m.

Spiak called 911 as she was trying to perform CPR on the man, authorities said.  When officers arrived, they found the man had multiple stab wounds in his chest.

Deputies detained Spiak and found a knife inside the apartment.

She's been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on murder charges and is ineligible for bail.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.

Deputies have not determined a motive for the crime.
