Man killed in double shooting in midtown Sacramento
SACRAMENTO — One person died and another person was injured in an overnight shooting in midtown Sacramento, police said Saturday.
Officers responded to the area of 24th and J streets after two men were shot, the Sacramento Police Department said.
Both were taken to an area hospital where one of them died from their injuries and the other has since been reported in stable condition. The identity of the person killed has not been released.
Homicide detectives have taken over the case, the department said. The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
It was unclear if investigators identified a suspect or if a search was underway.
