Man In Critical Condition After Overnight Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police are trying to sort out the details of a shooting in Sacramento.

Officers say three people were in a car at Butterworth Avenue near Gillepie Street at around midnight when someone starting shooting. Police believe between as many as 20 shots were fired at the silver sedan. One of the passengers, a man in his 20s, was shot. He was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Officers are trying to determine where the shots came from. They're going door-to-door looking for witnesses.

The name of the victim was not immediately available.

No motive for the shooting has been established, nor is there suspect information.
