Man Guilty In Fatal Shooting At Party In Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (AP) -- The suspect in a fatal shooting last year at a south Sacramento house party has been convicted of second-degree murder.
The Sacramento Bee reports that jurors returned their verdict Tuesday for 27-year-old Ignacio Leyba.
Authorities say Leyba, a reputed Norteno gang member, opened fire during a fight at the Sept. 26 party and killed 33-year-old Oquitzin Bravo. He also shot Bravo's friend in the abdomen.
The jury also found Leyba guilty of attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a gun.
He's scheduled for sentencing on June 24.
