Man Gets 830 Years To Life In Prison For Abusing Kids

WOODLAND, Calif. (CBS13) -- A West Sacramento resident will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of dozens of counts of child sexual abuse.

Bennie Dale Moses, 44, was convicted in March of 62 counts of sex with a minor and oral copulation with a child and received 830 years to life in state prison in Yolo County Superior Court on Monday.

Moses forced a 12-year-old girl to engage in sexual acts with him beginning in 2000 and continued abusing her for 9 years, according to the Yolo County District Attorney's office.

The crimes were reported after the victim's friend learned about the abuse in 2009 and called 911.

Investigators found that Moses had also forced a number of elementary school girls to have sex with him when he was a teenager.
