Man found shot dead in vehicle near Stockton; suspected to be homicide
Deputies are investigating the death of a man who was found in a vehicle just south of Stockton Monday morning, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said.
Around 8 a.m., someone called 911 to report that there was an unresponsive man in a vehicle, near Sunny and Frontage roads, close to Highway 99.
When deputies got to the scene, they found a man in a vehicle who had been fatally shot.
The sheriff's office said the man was believed to be in his forties, and they are investigating his death as a homicide.
