Man Arrested For Recording Upskirt Video Of Girls At Store
DAVIS (CBS13) - A Davis man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly using a camera to look up girls' skirts at a local Target store. But it was watchful eyes of a store employee who noticed something wasn't right that led to his capture.
A man came out of a Davis apartment registered to a Tyler Luke on Monday, but didn't want to talk to us.
"Can we just get your side of what happened?" I asked.
The unnamed man responded with "no comment", got into a truck also registered to Tyler Luke and drove off.
Tyler Dean Luke, 32, was arrested for allegedly secretly videotaping girls at the Target store.
"It's scary," said a Davis Target shopper.
"You don't do thing like that to children -- ever," said another shopper.
"In this case, his movements were pretty blatant," said Lt. Glenn Glasgow with the Davis Police Dept.
Glasgow said it happened on Sunday. An observant Target employee noticed the man believed to be Luke using some kind of small camera, pointing it under two preteen girls' skirts in the aisles.
"We do not believe that they were aware that they were being targeted," said Glasgow.
According to police, it would actually be video that would seal their case -- surveillance video from Target.
Officers arrested Luke after he allegedly attempted to run and even fought with cops. Tonight they fear it may not have been an isolated incident.
"Our concerns that there may be other victims," said Glasgow.
"I would be really upset if that were my child," said a shopper.
"I think it's really creepy, and I would hate that to happen to me," said a shopper.
While some Target shoppers were obviously disturbed by hearing the news, they're also impressed by the staff.
"I'm glad that they noticed. I'm glad they're paying attention to what's going on," said a shopper.
In addition to charges of taking pictures of the girls and resisting arrest, Luke is facing charges of trying to either destroy the camera or the alleged footage.
Davis police urge anyone with information about this incident or others involving Luke to contact the them at 747-5400.
