Man Arrested For Kidnapping, Sexually Assaulting Woman In Wheelchair
LINDA, Calif. (CBS13) – A Yuba County man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman who uses a wheelchair Thursday night, authorities said.
The Yuba County Sheriff's Department said 37-year-old Albert Luster was angry about a Wednesday night fight with the female victim and began attacking her near the Linda riverbottoms Thursday night.
Luster allegedly struck the woman, who has to use a wheelchair for transportation, and then dragged her into a weeded area and sexually assaulted her. Luster took the victim's wheelchair with him when he left the scene, investigators said.
The victim found help with a nearby individual, who called authorities and reported the incident. Deputies located the woman's wheelchair in the area and returned it to her after she was treated for her injuries.
Luster was located Friday morning and arrested on multiple felony charges, authorities said.
