Man Arrested For Craigslist Theft, Assault
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Police have arrested a man who allegedly assaulted a theft victim who tracked him down on Craigslist and confronted him about his stolen electronics.
The Sacramento Police Department arrested and accused Maurice Glass, 33, of stealing a local resident's expensive amplifier from his car over the weekend and then attempting to sell it through the popular online personals and classifieds website Craigslist.
The victim posed as an interested buyer and met Glass in a bank parking lot himself to confront him about the theft, according to police.
Investigators said Glass assaulted the man and made off with the amplifier for a second time. The victim was not seriously injured.
Glass was arrested on felony robbery charges and is being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail on $50,000 bail.
