Man Arrested After Attempting To Get Dog Out Of Animal Shelter

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Police have arrested a man who caused a disturbance while trying to get his dog back from a county animal shelter.

The dog belonging to Timothy Parkinson, 38, was taken to the shelter after police arrested Parkinson for having an open container of alcohol and warrants.

Parkinson allegedly drove to Sacramento City Animal Care Services at 2127 Front Street on Thursday morning and parked his car at the front door – blocking the entrance. He then yelled at employees and broke a window.

He was arrested for being under the influence and vandalism.
