Man Accused Of Threatening Louisiana Sheriff Arrested In Fairfield
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A 25-year-old Missouri man accused of posting social media threat against a Louisiana sheriff has been arrested in California.
Michael Dewayne Evans, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested Thursday night by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force in Fairfield, California, just southwest of Sacramento.
Evans is currently being held in the Solano County Jail as a fugitive from Caddo Parish. His bond has been set at $10 million.
In a news release, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office accused Evans of threating the life of Sheriff Steve Prator in a Facebook posting on July 20.
Evans faces a felony charge of terrorizing.
Jail records did not show if Evans has an attorney.
