Major Weather Changes Expected Next Week
So you thought it was spring, did ya? Not so fast!
After highs in the mid 70s Friday, we'll see a cool down beginning Saturday – still mostly sunny, highs 68-72.
Sunday, light rain showers are possible for the valley with cooler highs about 60; snow and gusty winds are expected in the Sierra above 5,000 feet.
Next, a more powerful storm looks to arrive Monday night into Tuesday. Heavier rain in valley is possible and heavier snow above 5000 feet with gusty winds area-wide.
Then there will be a chance of valley rain and mountain snow each day from Wednesday through Friday.
It looks like cumulative rain totals for the entire week will generally add up to 1 to 3 inches – but downpours in some areas could produce higher totals.
Snow totals will add up to several feet between Sunday and Friday over the higher elevations of the Sierra. Snow will likely be wetter and heavier than previous storms, and mostly above 5,000 feet.
Also, don't forget to move your clocks forward one hour when you go to bed Saturday night. Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday
