Longtime Sacramento Children's Store To Close Its Doors

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A longtime children's store in Sacramento is getting ready to close its doors.

Goore's has been a popular place for parents to shop for two decades. You could pick up everything from toys to baby furniture.

But the owner says the struggling economy and competition from Internet sites have made him realize now's the time to retire.

A posting on the Goore's website say "Thank You! After 20 wonderful years in the baby and children's business, April & Ken Goore are retiring."

Beginning today, items at the store will go on sale. The store says it will remain open through the holidays or while supplies last.

The store will close in two to three months.
