School Closures and Delays Due To Weather And Road Conditions
EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) -- Due to weather and road conditions, El Dorado Union High School District is delaying the start of classes by two hours at:
- El Dorado High School
- Union Mine High School
Pollock Pines School District is reporting that the following schools are closed for the day.
- Pinewood Elementary
- Sierra Ridge Middle School
Pioneer Union School District in El Dorado County is reporting that all district schools are closed for the day.
Camino School has also announced that they are closed for the day due to weather.
Chain controls are in effect for all major freeways in the Sierra.

Interstate 80 was closed for a time overnight due to dangerous road conditions and numerous crashes. It was reopened by Thursday morning, but expect slow going.
