Local Girl Invited To White House Easter Egg Roll

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - A Fairfield third grader is packing her bags and heading to the White House!

Nine-year-old Jalyn Robinson was one of the few children selected to participate in this year's White House Easter Egg roll.

She sent a letter to President Obama asking if she could meet him and he wrote her back!

She says she leaves later today and can't wait.

"I'm so excited because I can't believe the first time I'm going to the White House," said Jalyn.

Jalyn has memorized the president's "Yes, we can" speech word for word.

She says she wants to ask the president about their dog and is hoping to play chess with him.
