Lawyer: Facebook Abuser Doesn't Deserve Prison
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The attorney for a Sacramento-area man accused of violating the privacy of dozens of women after he used information from their Facebook pages to take over their e-mail accounts says her client was simply bored and naive, and does not deserve prison.
George Bronk pleaded guilty in January to using personal information he found on Facebook to hack into women's e-mails, then sending photos and videos of them nude or partially nude to everyone in their address book.
The state attorney general's office wants him to serve six years in prison. His defense attorney, Monica Lynch, says her client should get probation.
Bronk, who is 23, pleaded guilty to computer intrusion, false impersonation and possession of child pornography. On Thursday, a Sacramento County judge delayed sentencing until May 2.
