Lake County Fire Contained
LOWER LAKE, Calif. (AP) — Fire officials say a fire that destroyed one home and various pieces of equipment in Lake County has been contained.
Officials say the fire near Highway 29 outside of the community of Lower Lake destroyed eleven vehicles and 12 pieces of equipment as it consumed about 300 acres after it began on Thursday afternoon.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Though the fire is contained, fire officials are warning drivers that firefighting personnel and equipment will remain in the area for the next several days.
