Labor Day Brings Cooler 80s
Cooler temperatures and clouds have moved into Northern California, but the heat is sure to return soon.
Low pressure off the coast has helped usher in cooler air to Sacramento, dropping our temperatures from the mid 90s to the low 90s. The system is also pulling in some moisture, which is responsible for the extra cloud cover we had in many locations Sunday.
Labor Day will bring more clouds and a chance for thunderstorm in the Sierra. We could see a little bit of drizzle in the valley, but it won't amount to much.
Expect highs in the mid and upper 80s in the foothill and valley Monday, with mountain temperatures landing in the mid 70s.
By Tuesday, the system will move away from the area and so will the clouds and cool air.
Sacramento will jump back to highs in the mid 90s with abundant sunshine by the end of the week.
