Kings Work Out Klay Thompson's Older Brother, Mychel
It didn't take long for the Sacramento Kings to add a sibling from the Golden State Warriors "Splash Brothers" after losing Seth Curry (brother of MVP Stephen Curry) to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency this Summer.
Now, the Kings are reportedly working out the older brother of Klay Thompson, Mychel - the other half of the "Splash Brothers." Both Thompson brothers are the son of former Los Angeles Lakers player, Mychal Thompson.
Mychel, 28, has spent the last few seasons in the D-league after quick stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2011) and New York Knicks (2012) at the NBA level. He's played in just five NBA games (three as a starter for Cleveland), averaging 3.6 points, 1.4 assists and 1 rebound in 19 minutes per game.
The shooting guard has averaged 11.4 points, 1.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in more than 170 D-league games over his career, however his play in the 2014-15 season helped the Santa Cruz Warriors win its first championship.
Mychel attended Pepperdine University all four years, with his best numbers coming from his senior season (14.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game).
