Kings Season Ticket Sales Skyrocket; Team Hiring
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- The Kings are hiring for part time sales agents after being swamped under the demand for season tickets following the tense relocation drama of the past few months.
Sales representatives are having difficulties keeping up with the pace of phone calls, selling 30 times more tickets compared to last year, according to vice president Phil Horn.
"We have people upstairs that have voicemails that are 20-30 deep," Horn said. "They're just trying to get back to people/'
Horn said they just posted notices of hiring for 25 new part-time sales representatives to keep up, with interviews beginning on Thursday and work beginning by next Wednesday. (Apply Online)
Fans said they hope the increased attendance will show the league that fans still support the franchise, despite the close call that nearly saw the team's owners ask the NBA to relocate to Southern California.
