Keith Brooks & Carmichael Dave - July 24, 2013
It's been reported that Alex Rodriguez could be facing a lifetime ban from baseball due to his role in the Biogenesis scandal, a topic that was meant to rule the day for Keith and Dave.
After discussing some non-sports headlines for a segment, the guys launched into the Five Big Questions. A-Rod, the NCAA's new "targeting" rule, Matt Kemp's statement that Ryan Braun should be stripped of his 2011 MVP Award, Brandon Phillips feeling slighted by a $75 million contract offer, and the NBA's rule against flopping were all topics of conversation.
The guys then went around the room for "Three Up/Three Down", with Nascar, Dustin Pedroia, and the St. Louis Cardinals all being subjected to the heat of the segment.
After throwing around the idea that the Redskins should make a name change, it spurred a heated discussion over political correctness and its role in sports.
Then came the Red Card Payoff - Keith and Dave kept things even throughout the show, but Dave was given the tiebreaker by Nate for taking the right side of the Redskins argument and agreeing to share Barry Bonds' head. As a result, Keith was branded Biggest Loser of the Day.
