Keith Brooks & Carmichael Dave - July 12, 2013
On the Friday edition of the Keith Brooks and Carmichael Dave Show, the NFL's image problem took center stage after Alfonzo Dennard of the New England Patriots was arrested on suspicion of DUI. There have been 27 arrests of NFL players since the Super Bowl, and the guys discussed what steps the league should take to clean up the off-field problems of its athletes.
They then talked about the return of Derek Jeter to the lineup of the Yankees and whether he was rushed back from injury before he was ready. They then transitioned into the Five Big Questions in which they discussed whether Andre Iguodala makes the Warriors a title contender, whether Wrigley Field should install a Jumbotron, the Patriots' next course of action with Alfonzo Dennard, if the A's can go deep into the playoffs this year, and whether players should go full steam in the MLB All-Star game, citing Ray Fosse's career-altering collision with Pete Rose as evidence that maybe the guys should take it easy on each other.
"Would You Rather" for the day consisted of which sporting event you would attend if given the choice between Wimbledon, the Masters, the MLB All-Star Game, or the NFL Pro Bowl.
Tyreke Evans then joined in the last segment to talk about his time in Sacramento before moving on to the New Orleans Pelicans as well as promote his upcoming basketball camp.
Then came the Red Card Payoff. Dave would have been the biggest loser of the day with ease if Keith hadn't mentioned that he hung out with Nick Lachey at the MLB All-Star Game. Nate and Mike D determined that was an offense worthy of all the Red Cards necessary to secure Keith the spot as Biggest Loser of the day.
