K-9 Tracks Down Sacramento Pursuit Suspect
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A pursuit suspect was arrested following a high speed chase through South Sacramento Friday afternoon.
The Sacramento Police Department said the driver of a white Cadillac refused to pull over for a traffic stop near Mascot Avenue and 23rd Avenue, speeding up to 45 miles per hour in city traffic.
The suspect bailed out of the vehicle near 38th Avenue and Wallace Avenue and fled on foot, temporarily evading capture. Police set up a perimeter of the area and searched the neighborhood with K-9 officers.
One of the dogs found the suspect, described as a male Hispanic with long black hair, hiding in a backyard near the police perimeter.
The suspect was apparently already wanted on a felony burglary warrant. The suspect's identity has not been released.
