The fact that Joe Biden is only a heartbeat away from the presidency should not only scare the hell out of every American, it should be reason enough for the Romney-Ryan ticket to win the 2012 election by a landslide.
Once again, Vice President Joe Biden has been explained, re-explained, and even embarrassingly apologized for from the “left” while the Vice President tries to explain what he claims he really meant when he blurted out his latest horrendous comment. His latest involved a comment he made on the campaign trail in Danville, Virginia in which he claims Romney’s tax policy would put Americans in chains as if they’re slaves.
President Obama quickly went to damage-control mode by immediately defending his Vice President. Quite disappointingly and unbelievably, Obama again let America know that he believes Joe Biden can do no wrong. Obama chose the day after Biden’s latest gaffe to tell People magazine: “Joe Biden has been an outstanding vice president.” How does Obama expect us to believe anything else he says if he’s going to respond like that to an interviewer’s questions about Biden’s latest travesty?
Wasn’t it in 2009 that President Barack Obama called Biden into his office and basically told him to think before he speaks – or just be quiet? Regardless of the defense Obama lays out for Joe Biden by telling an interviewer what he thinks Biden meant to say, the real problem is that what Joe Biden speaks is what he really thinks – and it’s dangerous for America in these serious times. The nation – nor the rest of the world – needs an American national joke sitting one chair away from becoming the leader of the free world. Even Democrats would likely admit that Biden would be a very scary sight in the Oval Office, wouldn’t they?
After all, from papers found in Osama bin Laden’s compound after he was killed last year, bin Laden even figured out that the best way to destroy America would be to get rid of Obama so that Biden would become president. It seems like everybody knows how dangerous Biden’s “heartbeat away from the presidency” status is – except Obama.
Besides blurting out in an attempted-black dialect saying “[Romney’s tax policy would] put y’all back in chains”, Biden also told the Virginia crowd “We can win North Carolina again!” when he was obviously not in North Carolina. And much less reported, he also allegedly mocked a woman who was translating his words in sign language by saying “That poor lady, she’s going to have tendonitis by the time she finishes this.” This man simply does not think before he speaks. In terms of possibly running a nation, that’s extremely dangerous.
And it’s not the first time Biden insulted blacks with prejudiced-intent. He attempted to compliment Obama in January of 2007 when his inborn prejudice came through. He said “You got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” Really? He thinks Obama is the first mainstream African-American who is articulate, bright, clean, and nice-looking? Biden’s wrong. Obama is one of many African-Americans who are articulate, bright, clean and nice-looking. One of very many. There’s little defense for not believing Joe Biden has a prejudiced streak within – very prejudiced.
Let’s take a look at some of the other asinine things Biden has said and done that should cause concern regarding his mental abilities to hold any office. Remember, it was in 1987 that Biden had to drop out of his own run for president when he was caught plagiarizing in his political speeches. Now we know that plagiarizing others may be the only way he will say anything that doesn’t make him look stupid or cause a controversy.
Two years before running for vice president with President Obama, Biden offended Indian-Americans by saying “You can’t go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent”.
There are so many other incidents such as when he referred to Justice John Paul Stevens as “One of the great justices, Justice Stewart” right after Justice Stevens swore him in as vice president in January of 2009. There was the classic incident in which he asked Senator Chuck Graham to stand up so people could see him as the man sat in a wheelchair physically unable to get up from his wheelchair.
So stupid it’s funny? Definitely. But also sad, terribly sad when you consider this non-thinker could be our next president one day due to the position President Obama has put him in.
About the only blunder Biden has said that is true was when he complimented Hillary Clinton in September of 2008 by saying “[Picking Hillary Clinton to be vice president] might have been a better pick than me”. Biden was right on the mark with that statement.
The clear message here is for President Obama. Since there is currently a 50/50 chance Obama is going to be the president for the next four years, he needs to strongly reconsider his vice presidential choice. While Hillary Clinton has said no to the idea, she has two strong arms with the possibility of being bent. Or, how about Bill Clinton? By law, he can’t be elected again as president, but this would be an election for vice president.
Biden was likely chosen as Obama’s running mate in 2008 for reasons that no longer are relevant. Biden may have been a positive for getting the working-class vote. Now, Biden’s benefit to the ticket is apparently nonexistent.
The point is that having the threat of Biden stepping up to be president for another four years is more than America should be asked to endure. Get him off that ticket, please. And as Biden told Obama himself with an open microphone, “This is a big (expletive) deal!” Having Biden in this important position really is a big deal. He needs to be sent back home to Delaware.
