Isleton Police Department No Longer Functioning

ISLETON (CBS13) - At 7 p.m. Thursday, Isleton Interim City Manager Daniel Hinrichs announced that the Isleton Police Department was no longer functioning.

The announcement comes after Hinrichs placed Isleton Police Chief Steven Adams on paid administrative leave after Facebook posts about the department's problems.

Hinrichs contacted the sheriff's department to immediately assume law enforcement response for Priority 1 calls in the city. Sheriff's deputies will respond to calls if there is a life-threatening or critical emergency only.

All other calls will be referred to the city's office during regular business hours until further notice.
