Is Former Sacramento Real-Estate Mogul Once Accused Of Secret Recording At It Again?
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A disgraced former Sacramento real estate mogul already in jail on a probation violation may be facing even more legal issues.
Michael Lyon's life started unraveling when he was convicted of spying on people with secret cameras several years ago.
Now, according to documents from the investigation, there are concerns he could be at it again.
The new documents show Sacramento County Probation officers removed several computers, laptops and external hard drives from Michael Lyon's Arden-Arcade home when they arrested him on a drug charge for violating his probation.
The new details bring back images from Lyon's first arrest when computers and cameras were seized that ultimately led to Lyon's conviction for secretly recording videos of prostitutes in his home.
Lyon also admitted in a civil case to secretly recording friends in the bathrooms and bedrooms of his homes.
The new arrest reports shows investigators could be looking for proof Lyon has continued secret recording since his conviction on the felony eavesdropping charges three years ago.
The arrest report also details probation officers locating drugs, a working digital scale, packaging, and text messaging mentioning possible drug sales.
Lyon was booked along with a woman in the Sacramento County Jail. He's been held without bail. His mugshot showed bloodshot eyes and sores on his lips and nose.
His attorney had no comment in response to the newly revealed arrest report.
