Investigators: Two Fires In Two Days In The Same Area Are Arson
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — A fire burned four acres in the same area as a fire yesterday, and investigators believe both are a case of arson.
The fire is the fourth one in the area in the past five days, though investigators are currently saying only the two most recent fires are arson and likely connected.
Witnesses gave similar suspect descriptions in both cases. He's described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with long hair.
Police did have a suspect in custody, but they have said that person does not match the description given, and they believe it's possible the suspect could have been hiding in the bushes watching firefighters put out this latest blaze.
