Hundreds Of Bee Hives Catch Fire In West Sacramento
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - West Sacramento firefighters had to battle more than just the blaze when responding to a grass fire Wednesday night.
Crews were dispatched to the fire near South River Road and found hundreds of hives filled with bees.
They struggled to keep from being stung while fighting back flames.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to about a quarter of an acre, but investigators are still trying to determine what caused the colony to catch fire.
