Temperatures Cooling Temporarily
The hot valley temperatures will finally take a backseat to cooler weather as the delta breeze kicks in to end the weekend and usher in the workweek.
Most areas will drop five to 10 degrees Sunday going into Monday as a storm system closer to British Columbia pulls some cooler air into the region.
However, the storm will be too far north to bring the Sacramento area any rain. Most of it will stay in the Pacific Northwest.
The middle of the week will be met by highs in the mid 80s with mostly sunny skies.
Late in the week, expect more cloud cover and cooler temperatures as another storm grazes Northern California.
This system will dip a little lower and could bring the shot of rain to the northern most counties. Unfortunately, most valley locations will remain dry.
After that, the heat returns, with highs climbing back into the low 90s by next weekend.
