Two People Burned In Stockton Homeless Camp Fire

STOCKTON (CBS13) — Two people were transported to the hospital after suffering minor burns in a homeless encampment fire, Monday evening.

Firefighters said the fire burned underneath Highway 4 near Interstate 5.

Trash and debris on fire sent thick black smoke in the air.

The Stockton Fire Department said the camp was in a fenced-off Caltrans enclosure.  Caltrans will be checking for damage.
