Home Ravaged By Fire In North Highlands
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) -- Flames tore through a home in North Highlands overnight.
The fire broke out at a single-story house on Carl Drive just after 2 a.m. Officials say the fire may have started at the back half of the house.
The homeowner woke up and got her son and grandson out before the entire home was engulfed in flames. Two dogs were also in the home at the time, but one didn't make it out.
"We're actually friends with the people who stay there. We got a phone call and someone was screaming from across the street so we ran over here and saw the house was on fire," said a neighbor.
There's no word yet on any injuries or what caused the fire.
