Home Depot Stabbing Victim, Suspect Not Cooperating With Fairfield Police
FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - Fairfield police say both the victim and suspect involved in a Home Depot stabbing Friday morning are being uncooperative.
Officers responded to the home improvement store around 10:45 a.m. -- located at 2121 Cadenasso Drive -- for reports of a stabbing, and discovered a 51-year-old male suffering from a serious cut to his left arm.
Several witnesses were able to point out to police the direction in which the suspect fled -- leading to his arrest.
Police located and arrested 47-year-old Paul Springs without incident on nearby Beck Avenue. A box cutter type knife believed to have been used in the assault was also recovered.
The victim was transported to Northbay Medical Center, needing surgery for his wound.
Neither the victim nor Springs cooperated with investigators, refusing to provide statements. Police say that the men know each other and are local transients.
Springs was booked into the Solano County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
