Hells Angels Murder Suspect Spotted In Bay Area
SAN JOSE (AP) — San Jose police say they have what a police spokesman is terming "credible evidence" that a member of the Hells Angels wanted in the killing of a fellow Hells Angel during a funeral is in the San Jose area.
Spokesman Jose Garcia says Steve Ruiz was sighted in San Jose sometime late Friday or Saturday.
Garcia would not provide specifics about the sighting, but said investigators believe the source was credible.
Police have been searching for the 38-year-old Ruiz since Steve Tausan was shot and killed during a funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose on Oct. 15.
Garcia says with Ruiz being a former resident of San Jose, and with ties to Gilroy, Campbell and Fremont, investigators believe he could be in any one of those cities.
Police caution that Ruiz is considered to be armed and dangerous.
