Grenade Found In North Highlands Storage Unit
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) — A grenade has been found in a storage facility in North Highlands, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said on Thursday.
The bomb squad has been called out after someone at Budget Storage on the 3000 block of Q Street found an old grenade in one of the units there.
Investigators say a family member of the owner of the unit said there was a live grenade inside the storage locker that had been there for 40 years.
Residents in the area are urged to shelter in place until the grenade is deemed safe.
