UPDATE: Donated 'C4' Explosive Turns Out To Be Putty

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Goodwill store in Sacramento was evacuated Monday after someone dropped off a box with six tubes inside labeled "C4".

The Sheriff's Department's Explosive Ordnance Detail was called to the Goodwill store located in the 6800 block of Franklin Boulevard after an employee discovered the items. All four buildings in the Goodwill complex along with a tire store next door were evacuated as a precaution.

A bomb squad robot x-rayed the box. The county bomb squad determined the substance was just harmless putty.

The stores were evacuated for about an hour.

C4 is a plastic explosive that can be molded into a desired shape.
