Giants Confident Sandoval Will Stay In The Bay
Giants assistant general manager Bobby Evans says he has been given "every indication" free agent third baseman Pablo Sandoval will give careful consideration to re-signing with the World Series champions.
Evans thinks the switch-hitting slugger could decide on contract offers as soon as Thanksgiving. Evans spoke with Sandoval agent Gustavo Vazquez again Thursday.
Sandoval met with the Boston Red Sox this week.
Evans hasn't confirmed details of any possible San Francisco offer to the 2012 World Series MVP. Talks between the sides regarding a long-term deal broke down during spring training.
Following the Oct. 31 victory parade, Sandoval said he wants to play the rest of his career for the Giants.
