Gay Won't Play vs Jazz as Vasquez' Passport Troubles Delay Physical
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento Kings fans looking for Rudy Gay in the starting lineup on Wednesday will be disappointed, as passport problems are holding up Greivis Vasquez' physical in Toronto.
Vasquez, the former Kings point guard, had to travel to New York to get his passport before traveling to Toronto for his physical. He will likely have his physical on Wednesday night, but the results won't be available until Thursday.
Without his passed physical, none of the seven players involved in the trade will be able to play for their new teams. That means no Gay in Sacramento's lineup against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
Monday's seven-player deal sent Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy to the Kings from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, John Salmons and Chuck Hayes.
